Phil Wickham - Cannons
When I look at your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him?
Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and honor
Psalm 8:3-5
New apartment.
Maybe I’m back on Tumblr.
Maybe not.
We’ll see.
At any rate, I got a new apartment. :) I’m now back in Chattanooga after a long summer of Big Creek Missions.
I’m excited about a new school year.
Nervous about all of the changes.
We’ll see :)
P.s. I love my new apt.
AJ Quotes
AJ: Asian food is my favorite.
Me: That is sooo racist. Do you know how big Asia is?! VERY!
AJ: Name a country in Asia, I’ll tell you what I think about their food.
Someone: Bangladesh
AJ: Bangladesh? More like, BanglaDELISH!

#7 (First Big Creek post).
Live from Big Creek! :) But, by the time you read this, it won’t be live.
Alright, are you guys ready for this? Here we go.
TODAY
- Abbey and I woke up and started getting ready to go hang out with my dad.
- After we got ready, we went to eat at Jenkins, got a hair cut, and went to the Dairy Barn, which was AWESOME, of course!
- We left the DB, came home, said our goodbyes, and headed out.
- We were really excited to see markings that we knew (the Kentucky sign, and the London signs were THE ABSOLUTE BEST!
- We got to Steak ‘n’ Shake and received a warm welcome from the family. It was really fun. I love them all so much.
- We headed home ;) from eating. Abbey and I arrived first, hahahaha. Whoops.
- When we arrived, we started bringing in our belongings, and claiming our rooms. Marking our territory, as some would say.
- So we settled in. And it was nice. And it felt like home.
- Sitting in the office (the usual staff thing to do) i felt an overwhelming peace from family. It’s nice. It’s supernatural. It’s my home. It’s where I belong. For now at least.
- We just finished with a prayer meeting. It was beyond what I could have expected. to hear multiple people say:
- I’m not worth this. I don’t deserve to be here. I’m in sin. God could have picked someone so much better than me.
- That was refreshing. That was relaxing. That gave me comfort and made me realize that we’re all so below God’s standard. It was beautiful.
- Now, we’re all sitting in the office- yes, again- about to go over Bible devotions. I’m pumped. Pray for us, please. We all need it. <3

Yesterday.
- Immediately washed my car (inside and out) as soon as I woke up. :)
- Afterwards, went into town and ate Taco Bell and gave some moneys to the bank.
- I then tried calling community contacts for Big Creek. Immediate fail. Hahahaha, first call of the day, “I’m sorry, Alison, I’m no longer working there.” Yikes.
- After calling one or two other places, went and visited with my Mamaw. I love her so much. She gave me a birthday card and gift [thank you, Mamaw. :)]
- After chatting with Mamaw, I came home and straightened the house (or my stuff, rather) for my guest Abbey!
- I started to get ready then.
- Dad got home at about 6 PM and we basically left right after he got there.
- We headed to Aubrey’s, and it was delicious.
- I had the seafood alfredo and it was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It had big chunks of crab meat in it, and also shrimp. Mmmmm. And bowtie pasta, which is my fav.
- After, we said our goodbye’s to Abbey’s parents, and we loaded the truck with her stuff and headed to la casa.
- As soon as we got home, me and Abbey packed up and headed out to my church’s college group missionary send off. It was a blast. I got to see my good friends Blake and Andy. :) Which is good because they’re leaving for New Orleans on Saturday. Which makes me really happy for them. But also, I’m really sad that they’re not gonna be back at Big Creek.
- After almost schooling my good friend Nathan Carroll at Ping Pong, (but he beat me twice, the second time pretty badly), I told him goodbye. He’s gonna be working at Camp Living Stone again this summer. Also, I said bye to my friend Kevin Lane. He’ll be working in Montana.
- When we got home, me and Abbey started working on our devotions that we have to do in front of
THE WHOLE ENTIRE STAFF. Yuck! Anyway, I think we got some pretty good information. :) - After laughing our heads off at the most ridiculous things, we decided to call it a night.
- Today is the day we head for Big Creek! I can’t believe it’s already here, y’all. If you’re reading this by any chance and you’d like to send me an ENCOURAGRAM, see here——> https://sites.google.com/a/bigcreekmissions.com/big-creek-missions/volunteers/volunteer
